As the growth in networked retail digital signage continues to grow LS Travel commissioned JDS to supply and install digital signage displays and media players at two new Aelia Duty Free stores, Auckland Airport, at both the departures and arrivals area. The screens ranged from 21” and 55” LCD’s to a large 2 x 3.5m LED video wall screen, and are placed at various locations throughout the stores. Each screen has its own media player so promotional and branding content can be selected for each location. Work was completed in stages and involved working alongside partners such as builders, cabinetmakers and installers to name a few.
The cloud based digital signage network is being used for communications to promote messages regarding the store and any promotions that are running. The software solution chosen by JDS to control the screens is DC Media Cloud. This cloud-based solution allows user to access the software from any computer connected to the Internet allowing for the content management from head office.
