Screensaver

  • Remotely updated and on a per-screen basis
  • Content for the screensaver will include Images (JPEG/PNG) and Videos (MP4 H.264)
  • Advance scheduling
  • Automatically revert to screensaver after a set period of inactivity on the home page
  • When a user approaches the screen we can have a start button appear (animated if desired) to draw attention to the screen or indeed simply stop the screensaver and show the home page ready for the user to select a page to view.

  • A grid of icons will represent pages available on the kiosk. These icons will be replaceable in the CMS as needed. Each icon links to a page, pages are defined by pre-made templates which are created by JDS.

  • Limit domains – Allowing website content to be displayed is a risk. To minimise the risks, content will be sandboxed, meaning users will not be able to follow links outside the specified website.
  • User password minimum entropy enforcement
  • Passwords stored using one-way hash
  • Multiple incorrect password attempt lockout

Analytics

  • All page views will be captured and sent to a server to report analytics.
  • Reports such as the most viewed pages, time of day usage, and month-to-month usage statistics will be available.
