Renowned retailer WHSmith is known for providing customers on the go with everything they need at airports, stations and hospitals across the globe. Their recent acquisition of established technology brand InMotion allows them to also offer travellers an extensive range of technology and electronics to further enhance their experience.
With the opening of an InMotion store at Melbourne Airport, a cutting-edge digital signage solution that matched the brand and highlighted their extensive range of products was required. As a one-stop-shop solution for food, drink, confectionery, and now digital and travel accessories, WHSmith opted for our custom digital signage and software solution as the ideal way to display vibrant content that can be updated instantly with a few simple clicks.
To ensure a seamless experience for customers, each screen was installed in the store with minimal disruption. Visitors entering the store from all angles are instantly greeted with eye-catching content on the strategically placed screens, ensuring maximum exposure of the store’s messaging.
As the main focal point, the striking LED banner display along the back wall measures 7000 x 500mm drawing the eye with bright, bold colours that send an instant message to visitors of the brands available in store. Additional 14 x 32” LCD screens are also mounted along benchtop enclosure shelves, displaying product promotions and capturing the attention of customers as they browse, while customised 500 x 1500mm LED displays recessed into the brick pillars show that anything is possible with LED, even in narrow surface spaces.
With their in-store café providing coffee and snacks on the go, a colourful portrait LCD screen serves as both a display of promotional content and an eye-catching menu board, giving patrons an instant overview of their options.
Running on our cloud-based software, the displays are easily managed by the WHSmith team at head office, allowing them to change or schedule content in an instance. This flexibility means content displayed on the screens is always up-to-date and relevant to customers.
