Interactive Digital Kiosks Bring Local Information to Life in Bland Shire
Bland Shire Council has introduced a smarter and more accessible way for residents and visitors to explore everything the region has to offer.
Just Digital Signage recently delivered new double sided interactive digital kiosks for West Wyalong Main Street and McCann Park, creating two highly visible information points within key community locations.
Designed to support both locals and visitors, the kiosks provide easy access to community and tourism information, including upcoming events, Council notices, local dining options, attractions and activities across the Bland Shire.
The project was funded through the NSW Government’s Resources for Regions Round 9 program as part of the Bland Shire Community Amenity and Safety Program.
Custom built for the Bland Shire community
More than a kiosk installation, the project included custom built software developed to align with Bland Shire Council’s specific requirements and the needs of the general public.
The user experience was designed to make information simple to find, easy to navigate and accessible to a broad range of users, from local residents checking community updates to visitors exploring the region for the first time.
By tailoring the software around Council’s content, locations and community objectives, the kiosks provide a practical digital platform that can support local information, tourism and communication in one central experience.
Connecting people with the community
Digital kiosks can play an important role in making public information more visible and accessible. For visitors, the new kiosks provide a convenient starting point for discovering local attractions, places to eat and things to do throughout the region. For residents, they offer another channel for accessing information about Council updates, community events, local activities and important notices.By placing the technology in West Wyalong Main Street and McCann Park, Bland Shire Council has created information touchpoints where people naturally gather, explore and spend time.
